Paulie James Watches, Chicago, was started in January of 2015 by Paulie James Hendershott. Paulie has always been a watch lover since he was 7 years old! It was then that Paulie’s dad took him to the Jewelry counter at the Sear & Roebuck Store in Norristown PA to buy his 1st watch. He wanted that watch so badly, he could taste it! But in his pocket, Paulie had saved an entire year’s allowance to buy his 1st watch… he was ready! He dug deep into his dungarees and pulled out the $11 that was his entire year’s savings from cutting the lawn, weeding the garden, setting & clearing the dinner table… and of course… cleaning his room! There in November of 1967 Paulie stepped into the world of Horology with his 1967 30mm Timex Sprite manual wind watch, the most coveted of boy’s Field watches at that time! The rest was History!

Paulie who's been a Floor Trader on the New York Stock Exchange back in the 1980’s, a Real Estate Broker-Owner in Chicago since 1996, a Private Pilot since 1990 and a Commercial Drone Pilot since 2016, Paulie started working on watches as a hobby back in 2005, but his love of Horology took a huge leap in January 2015! That was the year Paulie started designing and building his own watches, determined to create the timepieces that Rolex, Omega, and Patek Philippe would design if they had more imagination and were dedicated to Fun & Whimsy instead of Prestige alone! Paulie builds his watches with the best available watch parts from around the world, including his own custom watch dials and watch cases made from the highest quality Stainless Steel in the Industry, and capable of remaining water-proof to depths down to 300m (1,000ft)!

In late 2026 Paulie James Watches, Chicago will be transitioning into an international Micro-brand with the release of his innovative Worldtimer GMT watch series and followed shortly after with Paulie’s Diver, Aviation, and Field/Military lines of watches. Each design has been born, iterated, and now perfected by Paulie over the past 5 years. Using incredible Swiss and Japanese movements, every other part has been meticulously designed in-house, with all the watches being assembled right here in Chicago, IL!

Paulie’s watches are Fun, Colorful, Affordable, Tough, and above all, meticulously constructed to last a lifetime! Truly one-of-a-kind timepieces to pass on to future generations!
